Keep Your Eyes Peeled

Keep your eyes peeled. In the next few weeks you should start seeing the Farm To Fork logo in places all around town. We’ve been hard at work creating posters, pamphlets, stickers, and postcards to help get the word out, because we want everyone to know about Farm To Fork.

Why are we doing this? For several reasons. By getting the word out we can build on our incredible donor base. The more people who hear about Farm To Fork, the more likely the donor base will grow. As our donor base grows, so too will our ability to provide nutritious food (like fresh veggies and fruits) to those in our community who struggle with food insecurity.

Of course we’re also doing this because we want to raise awareness. In a city, province, and country that has so much, it’s often easy to forget that there are so many who struggle to find sufficient nutritious food. Guelph has more than 20 emergency food providers, and more than 20 school breakfast programs. The people who work and volunteer their time at these organizations need our help to provide to our family, friends, and neighbours who need it. By spreading the word about Farm To Fork, we hope to raise awareness of the issue.

For those of you who are interested, a small booklet about the Farm To Fork project can be found here.
