Are you going to this year’s Taste Real Field Dinner?
For those unaware, the Taste Real Field Dinner – in its 4th year – is a celebration of local flavours, community, and rediscovering our relationship with the food we nourish our bodies with. The Field Dinner also provides an opportunity to raise money for programs in Guelph-Wellington that work to heighten awareness or address food insecurity in our region. It’s an amazing event that gives back to the community.
This year the Guelph Wellington Food Access Working Group and the Farm To Fork project will be joint recipients of proceeds raised by the Taste Real Field Dinner. We are humbled, and excited, and so proud to have been selected. Thank you to Taste Real for this incredible honour.
- A local food feast

Join us as we celebrate the 4th annual Taste Real Field Dinner at Nassagaweya the Retreat, a secluded and picturesque property on the eastern edge of Wellington County.
The Field Dinner is a relaxed and fun 3-course local food feast that spans an afternoon in the countryside. It’s all about enjoying good food with friends, but also about helping people in our community. All of the proceeds from ticket sales go toward local agencies working on making food accessible to the people who need it most in Guelph and Wellington County.
Your enjoyment of the flavours and terroir of the region will begin immediately upon arrival at Nassagaweya. Along with 200 other special guests, you’ll be greeted with delicious appetizers and samples from select Niagara wineries and Wellington County craft breweries.
You’ll be free to mingle with fellow locavores while browsing the beautiful items being offered at the live auction and watch the talented artistry of Laurie Wonfor Nolan, as she paints the scene of the day. You can expect there will be many memorable moments and delights throughout this 4-hour event.
Chef Lynn Crawford will be the special guest and host for this year’s dinner. She brings with her a passion and enthusiasm for local food and farmers, and will be rolling up her sleeves and “Pitchin’ In” to help prepare the meal itself.
The dinner, a remarkable 3-course meal featuring fresh, seasonal food prepared by our talented regional chefs, will be complimented with Inniskillin wine pairings. Live music will add to the rustic, yet elegant ambiance of the day.
Rain or shine, this is our Field Dinner.
